How to Use Wax Melts

Some of you may be thinking what are wax melts and how do I use them?!

Well fear not because I am here to explain to you what they are and how to use them!

Wax melts are scented pieces of wax that release fragrance when heated on a wax burner. Unlike candles, they are wick-less so need heating in a burner. They are a great alternative to candles as not only are they cheaper, but they have a stronger fragrance as wax melts can hold more fragrance oil. I also find the flicker of a candle can sometimes cause a headache so having the tea light stored under the burner is useful.

You will need a tea light, a wax burner and a wax melt.

1. Add a piece of wax melt to the clean ceramic dish at the top of your burner

2. Light a tea light and place it underneath the dish, inside the burner.

3. Let the gorgeous scent fill the room! Remember, your piece of wax melt can be reused 3-4 times depending on the burn time and size.

TO REMOVE YOUR WAX

I love getting the most out of my melts so when the fragrance has finally gone, or you are just dying to try another scent this is what you need to do!

1.Light a tea light and place it under the ceramic dish for 1-2 minutes letting the wax slightly soften at the bottom.

2. Gently push the solidified wax on the top of the burner and it should slide out like a disc!

3. To get rid of the excess wax still in the dish, just use a tissue to soak up the remaining wax and then put in a new one!
